WSORR TV PACKAGE RACES ON TO VERSUS NETWORK (10/12/07)

TINLEY PARK, Ill. – Lucas Oil Products and NeWave TV Productions have announced additional TV programming for the World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR).

Already set to air Saturday, November 3 at 3 P.M. (EST) is the first of 18 episodes of WSORR on SPEED Channel. Each show detailing 2007 WSORR season action will be broadcast at the same date and time for consistency – Saturday at 3 P.M. on SPEED.

Now added to that package are two hours of additional programming on the VERSUS network. The first episode is a special one-hour highlights program from Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., incorporating the best of a weekend of racing at the “Nissan Showdown in the Show-Me State”. This episode highlights race action from the three PRO classes as well as Super Buggy and Super Stock Truck. This episode is set to air October 21st at 2 P.M. EST on VERSUS.

“The fender to fender racing action at the WSORR season finale at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland was some of the best all year,” commented Steve Grein, Executive Producer, NeWave TV. “Racers, fans, sponsors – all of us – were in awe of the inspiring Lucas Oil Speedway facility, the outstanding technical track, and the on-track drama of racers battling for World Series points championships,” he said.

An additional hour of programming highlights on VERSUS will cover high performance, high horsepower PRO race trucks competing from the BorgWarner World Championship Off-Road Races® at Crandon Raceway earlier this year. Viewers can check that episode out on December 8th at 2 P.M. EST.

“We want to thank the World Series of Off-Road Racing for an outstanding inaugural season,” said Bob Patison, executive vice president, Lucas Oil Products. “We value our partnerships with other WSORR sponsors such as the Forest County Potawatomi, Nissan, United Trailers, BorgWarner and others. We are involved in a wide variety of motorsports sponsorships and we are highly satisfied with the results from the World Series this past season and their plans for the future,” said Patison.

Dirt track racing is one of the fastest growing segments of the motorsports industry. WSORR events in 2007 saw record attendance at long-standing off-road racing tracks such as Bark River International Raceway (Bark River, Mich.) and Crandon International Off-Road Raceway (Crandon, Wisc.). The Series also introduced off-road racing to two new markets – the aforementioned Lucas Oil Speedway and the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna, Minn.

WSORR will announce its final 2008 race schedule later this month. The World Series will again be featured on SPEED Channel in 2008.

Title sponsor behind WSORR is Lucas Oil Products. The Series presenting sponsor is the Forest County Potawatomi Community. Nissan is the Official Vehicle of WSORR. United Trailers is the Official Trailer. Other key sponsors for WSORR in 2007 include BorgWarner, Sunoco Race Fuels, Toyo Tires, KC HiLites, Skyjacker and ATX Wheels.
