What2Watch4 on WSORR’s “Tour 2007”

1. The nation’s two top racers driving PRO Light Pickups, defending champion Chad Hord and his rival Jeff Kincaid, will do battle at WSORR tracks for supremacy in the class. Watch for Steve Frederico, Randy Eller, Lee O’Donnell and Art Schmitt to hone in on the action.

2. In PRO 2WD, watch for battles between Scott Taylor, Evan Evans, Kevin Probst, Michael Oberg, Carl Renezeder and more, including the top female PRO driver in the USA, Rhonda Konitzer.

3. WSORR’s Super Stock Truck field is huge in 2007, with several drivers moving into the class. Ben Wandahsega, Dan Baudoux, Mike Savage have been the dominant forces in the past but rookies such as Dave Waldvogel and Keith Steele have moved up from the Stock class to contend.

4. Can anyone stop Mark Steinhardt in the 1600 Buggy class? Year-after-year, Steinhardt wins or contends for the class championship.

"Millenium" World Championship Rings

For the year 2000 and all the hype and hope that went with ringing in the new century, Crandon Raceway unveiled special one of a kind World Championship rings. It was another historic moment in off-road racing. Never to be repeated and also never to be forgotten by those who understand off-road racing, care about off-road racing and realize the sport is bigger than any one individual, any one organization. The 2000 rings were crafted in gold rather than silver and featured a red firestone instead of blue. Following production of the rings, the mold was destroyed, making the 2000 off-road World Champions, indeed, a special group of racers for all-time.
