NEW LENOX, IL - Probst Motorsports is proud to announce the addition of NISSAN as an associate sponsor to their PRO-Light truck program. The team is currently constructing a brand new NISSAN FRONTIER race truck based on the UWELD chassis kit.
Initially the driving chores will be split between teammates, Jon Probst and George Schultz. Once the truck is fully developed, the team will begin the fabrication process to build a second NISSAN FRONTIER for the 2008 WSORR race season.
“When the decision was made to expand our team into the PRO-Light division, building a NISSAN FRONTIER was our first choice,” commented team leader Kevin Probst. “The horsepower and torque that can be developed with the NISSAN powerplant is incredible. Then having NISSAN involved with our effort, especially on the technical side, it will be a win-win situation for both parties."
The engine building duties will be handled in house by Jeff Probst. Jeff Probst Design engines have powered several Pro-2WD, Pro-4WD, Pro-Light and Super Buggy competitors to victory lane.
